hello

im from california and about a month ago i purchased an extended warranty thru fidelity automotive solutions and the product i got was from consumer direct warranty services. i paid $395 down and am paying $127.78 for a total of $2695. so i was told by rob @ fidelity that my warranty would be activated after 30 and 1000 miles. so i waited and took my car in to the dealer for a diagnostic. the dealer then tried to file a claim online @ www.beginaclaim.com he then called me saying my claim was denied. i was thinking to myself thats impossible cuz the cooling fan is a covered part under the warranty i purchase plan called secure choice. i then started doin some research online i found this site with a bunch of complaints just like mine. this company is very clever in minupulating people into buying false products. can anyone help me in gettin my money back ... im lost!

I really feel stupid after reading about 10 of these complaints (even more so than before I logged onto this site).  Unlike most of these other people...I called THEM!  The company is called U.S. Fidelis and they have tons of commercials on TV for extended warranties on cars under 15 years old having less than 150,000 miles.  Newly single after many, many years of being with someone who knew cars well, usually able to do our own repairs, big and small, I needed a car, was only able to afford a used vehicle. Purchased car summer of '08~bought warranty a few months later I put $1250 down the balance in monthly pmts. and I have 1 pmt left.  This past summer when I first tried A/C~it didn't work...claim was denied~they said that the list of parts (that are covered parts) are not BROKEN.  The parts are totally rusted out!  My car has been sitting for months after overheating...its in the shop and the mechanic told me there was a list of needed parts but the head gasket was "blown"~today claim was denied!  My mechanic cannot even talk to a live person, said everything had to be done online (I knew this from the A/C incident but I was able to get through to a person @ that time) I said I would call them....I was LIVID!  Automated system tells you the wait will be longer than 10 minutes but after about 2 they disconnect after promising someone will call you back!!  The message directs you to checkaclaim.com OR questions@checkaclaim.com so these irate people is what I found!!  I WILL take someone to court with complete backing from my mechanic...but now I'm not sure....I have 3 or 4 choices...U.S.Fidelis, Mepco, CDWS, and I think there is one more company involved in this mess!!  It proves the old addage "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is"!!

Purchased my auto warranty from AA Auto Warranty (Kurt or Curt Gandy) for around $2000 in 2008.  Nearly 18 months later my transmission breaks.  Back when he had asked me for my mileage when I purchased, I said around 70,000.  Well the mileage was closer to 80,000, but because my spouse drives the car 90% of the time, it was a good guess.  I explained that to him and he said it was good enough or close enough.  Then the claims administration folks (I'm guessing) Consumer Direct Warranty Services are VERY inaccessible to me and my servicing dealer.  After two days in the shop they FINALLY ask for all the maintenance records and copy of the policy agreement.  While I thought the maintenance records were somewhat understandable, why would they need ME to supply them with the policy agreement.  After sending it we waited another 2 days (we're at 5 days now) to get a denial of claim because my milage was 10,000 off.  They said they sent a denial of claims Tuesday which is BS, since they only asked for the records on Wednesday from which they seem to have based their decision.  The car is only driven an average of 13-14K miles a year since it was purchased, and the mileage difference definitely was not material to issuing a 100,000 mile extended policy.  Still no one will respond, at either the claims office or sales office of AA Auto Warranty.  Looks like a lawsuit.

I am going through the same problem. I believe the company is "Secure Choice". I bought it through "Mogi". My mechanic and I have both jumped through all the hoops. Deny Deny Deny... It is apparent that no matter what it is getting denied. I am about a year into my contract. I have had no other claims at all. It is very dissappointing to have a legitimate claim denied. I wrote to "supervisor@checkaclaim.com and demanded a full refund of any money I have paid them. I told them they are of no use to me period. I was told to contact Mogi about my refund. I am now in that process. This sure seems like something that could lead to a class action lawsuit. I am going to do what ever I can and I hope everyone else does too. I heard a rumor that this particular company can't even sell their product in the state of WA. Good luck to all of you.  andy_shastalake@yahoo.com

    Andy,
I bought a warranty from www.AAAutoWarranty.com .  I bought it for my son.  The link now goes to AA Auto Protection.  The insurance company behind the warranty is Consumer Direct.  They've refused a valid claim.  They won't talk to me cause I'm not my son and they refer requests for a supervisor to supervisor@checkaclaim.com.  I will be calling the warranty seller back again tomorrow!   .

Consumer Direct..... I've just started to look into the insurance company that plays these { supervisor@checkaclaim.com  <>  questions@checkaclaim.com } games.  The phone number I have for Consumer Direct is  877 234 4333.  They do everything they can to get you off the phone and onto a computer.  That's a bad sign!

The company that sold me the warranty [ www.AAAutoWarranty.com ]  claims that their "customer service manager" retired a couple of months ago.  I had left a threatening voice mail for him the day before.  Below is an old email from him.  Jeff Golden!  I called to talk to him and was told he retired months ago.  I called back again after hours and the phone was answered by his voice message.  Try it.    1-888-222-4445  Ext 162     Jeff Golden

I think that there may be many warranty's out their under various names but when there are problems they send you in circles until frustration wins. I am beginning to believe that there is a conspiracy involved.

I am interested in a group of us screwing with them.  A class action might be the answer.

    Dear Richard and/or Jonathan,

We received your check from Edward Jones, and we today began the extended warranty for your 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan.  (Actually, we received 2 checks.  The amount of one of the checks, $2052, was wrong. As you requested, we are returning that check to Edward Jones.)  You will be receiving your warranty co9ntract within 7 to 14 days.

We thank you for choosing AAAutoWarranty as your warranty broker.

Richard and/or Jonathan, keep my phone and extension, and call me if I may ever be of further service.

    Regarding Richard
Richard Beattie should be truthful about his situation. His contract that he maintain his vehicle according to the manufacturer's recommendations, and that he retain electronically-printed maintenance documents as proof that the maintenance was performed. In order to be sure that the vehicle has been maintained, the warranty company can request that those maintenance documents be supplied. Such a request was made when Mr. Beattie submitted a claim. But, Mr. Beattie did not follow the terms of the contract and did not have electronically-printed maintenance documents. Therefore, the claim was denied. Mr. Beattie does not think that the maintenance documents should have been requested, he does not think that the provision of the contract is fair, and does not think that the claim should have been denied. However, had Mr. Beattie simply performed the maintenance as specified and been able to supply the documents, this situation would have been avoided.

To anyone who has contacted an attorney who would be willing to handle this type of class action, please forward a number. This company is doing business under several names.  I have put in four claims all have been denied.

I urge everyone who has been scammed by these companies(company) to find out where the transfer of funds goes to, Maybe it could help if it can be proven that all end up in the same place. Mine dealing with Mepco ends up in Michigan.

Well I will join the croud who feel stupid. I paid for a warrenty through consumer direct, and now my claim is being denied on my transmission. I am in the insurance industry and will be reporting this to the BBB and the california department of insurance.

TIP: If you are going to buy an extended warrenty buy it through the dealer. NOT through the mailers you get! The dealer will stand behind!

I agree with the other service advisor. I have been a service advisor for 10 years and while I curse some companies about how bad they are (and surprisingly commended some about how good and quick they are), this Direct Choice is by far the worst! I started putting a claim though on beginaclaim.com and google came up with this forum instantly.  I filed the claim anyway and they faxed me back a paper saying to get with the customer and fax back ALL the maintenance receipts. I did and I get another fax back stating "Failure to adhere to required maintenance as stated in the terms and conditions of the program agreement".  I looked at her maintenance and she has one of the best records for going in exactly when she needs to! Not only that but keep in mind that this is for an a/c compressor claim, something that would have nothing to do with oil changes even if she was behind on them!

I just started a claim. i took my truck in to my local shop because of loss of power. Dignossis was slipping transmission and injector issues. Injectors are denied ok thats fine not covered but i'm getting the run around on the transmission what the "F" it takes so long to speak with someone that the shop is starting to refuse to work on my truck. I completed all my payments over $2k and why would they refuse I don't need a new tranny just fix whats broken.

Class action might be needed soon real soon. Email if anyone is starting this. rmreltecho@yahoo.com

Same issue took place with Weekend Warrior Trailer company.
