hello
im from california and about a month ago i purchased an extended warranty thru fidelity automotive solutions and the product i got was from consumer direct warranty services. i paid $395 down and am paying $127.78 for a total of $2695. so i was told by rob @ fidelity that my warranty would be activated after 30 and 1000 miles. so i waited and took my car in to the dealer for a diagnostic. the dealer then tried to file a claim online @ www.beginaclaim.com he then called me saying my claim was denied. i was thinking to myself thats impossible cuz the cooling fan is a covered part under the warranty i purchase plan called secure choice. i then started doin some research online i found this site with a bunch of complaints just like mine. this company is very clever in minupulating people into buying false products. can anyone help me in gettin my money back ... im lost!

Mepco and Warranty Assurance says they are suprised at the situation and could only give me the same BS contact information.
I purchased a policy last September and have faithfully paid it on time.(Automatic withdrawl).
I just submitted a claim on my wifes Toyota Corolla on a failling power motor. Claim was denied even though it clearly states that item is covered in the warranty book.
It is impossible to talk to any one from CDWS Even though the welcoming letter clearly states that you can talk to a "Friendly and Knowlegeable Customer Reps".(800-209-3755) Now they want Documents that are complete (What ever that means) Faxed to another number (530-241-8452) or Email customerservice@cdwsnow.com.
I have just begun the frustrating motions of trying to request a refund (failure to honor the policy)and put a stop to all future payments.

According to their claims department:
• The leak in the valve gasket is not covered because it is not “an internal component of the engine that requires lubrication for operation.” Yet, in reading coverage for “Seals & Gaskets”, these are covered if they are seals for “covered components”. As the name implies, a “valve cover” is a cover for the valves. Valves are internal components of the engine that require lubrication, and are “Covered Components”. Thus, the valve cover seal is a failed seal of a Covered Component. Under CDWS’s overly restrictive reading of the contract, a gasket or seal would never be covered since a gasket or seal, by itself, is not an internal component that requires lubrication for operation. Coverage is further narrowed by additional language excluding any incidental, consequential, or subsequent damage to any component of the vehicle, covered or not covered, making the warranty completely illusory. The placement of this exclusion in the “Covered Components” section instead of where it should be, e.g. the “Exclusions” section is particularly deceptive and misleading to the consumer.
• My claim for replacement of the suppressor wires was denied on the grounds that it was not listed as a Covered Component under the “Electrical” definition. Yet, in reading what items are covered under “Electrical”, none of the electrical components would really be covered in light of FCWC’s sweeping exclusion for “electrical equipment, including, but not limited to . . . wiring or wiring harness . . .” By removing coverage for electrical wiring, I cannot think of one component of any vehicle that would really be covered by the warranty. This is especially true since the claims representatives are given unlimited authority to make it up as they go with the “including, but not limited to” exclusion verbiage deceptively placed on page 7, not on page 4 under “Exclusions” where the average consumer would expect to find it.
• With respect to the catalytic converter, the salesman expressly stated to me that this was a covered component. But, they denied it anyway.
I ended up with a $4000 repair bill that they refused to pay anything on. When I sent them a demand for repayment, MEPCO told me that First Choice had "gone out of business" and that they couldn't help me either.
STAY AWAY FROM THESE SLEAZEBAGS AT ALL COSTS.
