Harassing phone calls daily

Calls several times a week - calls arrive at approx the same time each evening around 8:00 PM central time. Phone rings 4-5 rings always just short of the answering machine picking up.  How do they get away with calling when I am on the government and state do not call lists?

    I have received several phone calls from these people as well. I didn't know how they were until visiting this web site. I have no intentions of signing up for any magazine subscriptions or answering their calls. If the calls do continue, I will be speaking to my lawyer and have him deal with them.

      i am having the same problem/ they keep calling and dont answer. this is an everyday thing for the past 2 weeks. how do i get rid of these people and how did they get my number>

        I have the same issue with the calls.  I'm on the National Do Not Call list.  I did some research and ended up call this number 719-548-9292 then 0, when I was transfereed I got (Melissa the HR Manager).  She was very professional and said she would have my number removed from their list, that this could take up to 48hrs.  So I will wait a couple of days and provide an update.

          I just called the phone number listed in the first post and spoke to Deb who promised to add my number to their personal Do Not Call list.  I informed her that I am and have been on the state and federal DNC list for over 5 years so they are in violation.  I recommend that anyone who gets calls, call their direct number and then follow up with the FTC.  In case you are wondering what they are calling about it is MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS.   Follow that lead up and I am sure that you will find that they sell long term subscriptions to magazine that you currently subscribe to or magazine that are published by the same company.  I am sure that you will also find that if you should take their "offer" you will be at Austin, Graven and Drake's mercy to get any changes for address or missed magazines since they are the sub-contractors to the named magazines such as Better Homes and Garden, Good Housekeeping, etc. and those reputable magazines do not have the ability to make any changes.  BEWARE!!!!

      Speak to your lawyer??? About what?? That's why legal fees are so expensive..you run to an attorney (who prob laughs at you) for no reason.! I bet you run to the ER when you have a headache too, right?

    if u never went back for ur paycheck my question is how were they harassing u and intimdating u . on they felons who work there my feeling is we paid our debt to society but still no one will hire us because we are felons. can not even get a job at walmart or seven eleven. yes i messed up when i was younger i learned from my mistakes and tried to move on, but even with a bachelors degree no one will hire me as an engineer cause i am a felon. greaven gave me a job and i have done well there sorry u could not take it. guess u could go work at seven eleven or walmart u might feel safe working there.

      As an actual engineer, I am offended that any educational institution in the world would grant a degree to someone who cannot even string a sentence together properly.

        Instead of talking [***] about felons y don't you open you eyes and realize that people [***] up and do bad things the important thing is that they realize they messed up and trying to get back on track. I feel everyone does deserve a second chance and graven does give it to them... You should be proud that a felon got his life straight and went to school to try and better him self it's sad that today's society is ask about putting people down instead of trying to be understanding its pretty pathetic if you ask me!!!

        It's not a scam idk where you got your info bit you are a [***] idiot to think that most subscription we do are free where does SCAM come into play??????????????
