Calls several times a week - calls arrive at approx the same time each evening around 8:00 PM central time. Phone rings 4-5 rings always just short of the answering machine picking up.  How do they get away with calling when I am on the government and state do not call lists?

    I answer the calls and there is no one there.  This has been going on every day for over two weeks. If there was someone at the other end of the line, I could instruct them to put me on their DNC list, but they just dial my phone every night at dinnertime and hang up if I answer.  That is not telemarketing.  That is harassment.

    well when i answer the phone for this number theres never anybody there.  i say hello about 3 times then it sounds like i'm hung up on. so maybe next time if you really wanted to talk to us you would respond when we say hello. or just get the hint and STOP CALLING!

    Hi Bob,
    I'd LOVE to tell them to remove our business (a church) number, but when I answer, there is silence, then they disconnect the call.

    Graven,Austin and Drake does not take you off the DO NOT CALL LIST! I have called them 7 times to get my number off. Last week I called the FCC and they said IT IS against the law to continue to call a homeowner OR business with EMPTY AIR PHONE CALLS. This means that they call your home or business, and have no person on the other end, they do not say who they are or what they are calling for..it just hangs up. Dead air time. All of you need to keep track of dates and times they call and then call the FCC.They have contacted lawyers for me and will fine them for every infraction they do. The fines are pretty high from what the FCC told me.
    Also if they call and you hang up on them and then pick up the phone..and they are still on the line it is called INTERRUPTED AIR TIME which is also a violation. Keep track of all calls and give the FCC a call once a week to update the violations.The FCC will give you a reference number which is your complaint number which goes to the lawyers.Hope this helps all of you!

    Add to the list of phone number 719-219-3885 Caller ID is Austin Graven you answer and they hang up you call back and they say they are in your area code.

    I work for a state office with over 300 phone numbers. This "company" repeatedly calls the same numbers up to fifteen times a day! Multiple that by the number of people working here with separate numbers and I answer those calls over fifty times a day!!!!! I have told whoever calls that if they don't stop calling I will report them to the Attorney General's office and it still does not stop. I am not lazy, I am at work trying to do my job!!!! Your calls are interrupting MY job!!!

    This would be exactly WHY I don't even want to answer the phone when I see a call (at my church) from your company.  Pretty sure, they would not want you respresenting them in this manner. I am certainly NOT lazy and yes, my time is very important.  It's a shame you would take advantage of people in this way.  Very sad!

    You know, I am a convicted felon, and I think I look mighty fine. I don't have a hangover, because I don't drink. Also, you'll be thankful to know, that I, along with 90% of the others that work there, are not on house arrest. Your stereotypical statements about convicted felons needs some re-construction. Also, I don't see how a company "harassed" and "intimidated" you, seeing as how they are a professional company, no matter how "bad" of an experience you had. Please take other people under consideration when you go posting nonsense about your "experiences" place. Because, obviously, you have no idea what you are talking about! Kthnx.

      We don't care what you look like nor your opinion of yourself.  We all are just tired of dropping what we are doing, rushing to the phone thinking it might be important, to have the call hang-up in our ear when we answer. This is piss poor business procedure.  How would you like YOUR mother called, hung up on and frightened that someone was stalking her?  You do have a mother, don't you?  And anyone who brags that they "look mighty fine" never does.

    I just called the # from caller id 719-219-3885 and got automated response to leave number I wanted to be placed on the do not call list. Hopefully that ends the several calls a day.

    Well - if there is no one on the other end when you answer it multiple times -- how the H*** are you supposed to get on THEIR do not call list??  This is an annoyance and if I could figure out which company gave my number to them, that would be the last time that company would get a dime from me.

    Turns out caller ID works nice and you can call back to the number that called you (an 888 number in my case) and an automated voice will allow you get on THEIR do not call list.  Now we will see if THAT works.

    I find it interesting that many of you complain about how important your time is, yet here you are wasting time. I happen to work there. Its now under new management. Ive never been convicted of anything. I have a BA degree in business. There will always be telemarketing companies. If you dont like getting called, do what the smarter people do and switch to a cell phone. Yes, we can call you if you were a former customer of a magazine you no longer have. If its not us calling, it would be a different company as your ex subscription service would hire someone to bother you.

    I also receive the phone calls at our church office. There is NEVER a voice on the other side, and no way to request them to stop calling. I called using the phone numbers provided, and it was not a surprise when even the "operator" was just a voicemail. I did leave my phone number and requested to be taken off their list. If they continue calling after a reasonable period of time (30 days) I will be contacting the FCC to make a formal complaint. I suggest other churches receiving these calls do the same.

    How can you request them to quit calling when they are never on there. I too have answered just so I could say take me off the list but there has to be someone on there to reply to. You people have no right calling us out of nowhere. What in the world is your business anyway. Get a real job like the rest of us. We are not lazy sitting and calling people on their time off. We are hard working people who do not just sit and talk on the phone so bug off. You have no right just because we have dealt with your client BUG OFF
