Harassing phone calls daily

Calls several times a week - calls arrive at approx the same time each evening around 8:00 PM central time. Phone rings 4-5 rings always just short of the answering machine picking up.  How do they get away with calling when I am on the government and state do not call lists?

    I think everyone on this thread needs to figure out something better to do with their time then complain about telemarketers. I get the same calls everyday, ITS CALLED GUERRILLA MARKETING!! and people respond to it.

    I have also been receiving these calls for months.  I don't answer but when it goes to the answering machine they hang up.  I have actually even answered the phone but no response.  I have tried calling back the number on my caller id.  It is the phone number for "do not call list" which I press 1 to have my number added to.  It hasn't helped because I'm still getting the calls.  This needs to stop

    I work for a school district in NH and I get one or two calls EVERY SINGLE DAY from these people and there is never anyone there!  Frustrating to say the very least!

    Very annoying, but I have no idea how to stop it.

    Call me every week.  Never leave a message.  These crooks have been running this scam for years and the feds have done nothing.  I guess we can declare the "do not call list" a complete scam also.  As usual the feds work for the crooks not for the voters.

    I'm sick and tired of the calls from this company too.  I'm also on the Do Not Call list and went and re-registered because of this particular company..So far it hasn't meant a thing to register..  I'm complaining..

    Our company works with several companies to promote their products or services.  All of the calls we place are exempt due to the existing business relationship exemption – or because they are a business-to-business call.  However, if you would like to be added to our DNC list simply email your phone number to dnc@gadtelecom.com.

    I too get calls from Austin Graven every so often.  If we answer the phone, no one repsponds.  If we let the answering machine pick it up, no message is left.   The number on the caller ID is 719 219 3885.  We also have our number on the National Do Not Call Register.  How is this possible?  We put in our phone for our use, not their's.  What's the deal - stop calling us!

    They claim that they represent the discovery chanel and its affiliates. Contact those company and ask them to cease using this company or you will start a boycott drive. I they truly are representing those companie the last thing those company would want is negative exposure.  If you still continue to get phone calls from them contact the media outlet of your choice hopefully a national onefor example CNN, MSN, FNC, and ask them to please put your plight on the air and you will have some relief.

    Tired of it all
    I keep getting the calls after telling them multiple time (very nicely I might add) that I wanted my number off the list. They keep calling. I keep telling them to remove my number. They call again when we are not home and do not leave messages. I filed complaints with donotcall.gov, bbb, and emailed dnc@gadtelecom.com to have them remove my number once and for all, and I still got a call this morning. I answered, no one there. I called the number back (719) 219-3885 to tell them AGAIN to stop calling, and there is a message saying "I'm sorry this mailbox is full and can not handle any more messages, please call again later" what a complete joke this is. Shame on this company and shame on the US government for not tightening regulations.

    I will never pick up and am filing a complaint with the phone company and putting a block to this number.  DO NOT CALL again.  If you call 5 times after being told not to, there is a $500.00 fine that will be assessed to your phone company with payment made to myself.  This is a warning.

    I made the mistake of ordering 2 America's Test Kitchen cookbooks for my mother.  The phone calls and the emails have been relentless.  They are trying to get me to order more stuff.  I am not happy that I gave my personal information (name, address, credit card info) to a group of convicted felons.  The best indicator of future behavior is past behavior, and while people may learn from their mistakes, the recidivism into a life of crime is staggering!   I have asked them to remove my information from their databases but they refuse.  I have contacted ATK to let them know that the people taking orders are treating their customers this way but they must not care either - I have never heard back from them.  It makes me never want to order online again.  Or by phone.  Or in any other fashion besides walking into a store and laying cash on the counter.  This is no way to conduct business, AG, especially if you want to build trust within the public from whom you seek business!

    I received calls from these people DAILY, sometimes twice a day, and the callers always hang up when I pick up the phone.  What's the point of making telemarketing calls if they just hang up on you???

    I finally called the company at (719) 548-9292 and requested my number to be removed from all their lists.  Let's see if it works.

    Me: Please stop calling. You have called after I asked to be put on DNC
    GAD: This is our first call.
    Me: Hmmm, let me check my logs
