Harassing phone calls daily

Calls several times a week - calls arrive at approx the same time each evening around 8:00 PM central time. Phone rings 4-5 rings always just short of the answering machine picking up.  How do they get away with calling when I am on the government and state do not call lists?

    I agree with almost all of you. A few "workers" have said on here that they can call you if you have been a "client" in the last 18 months.... riddle me this "workers" why did they call tonight and ask for my EX-WIFE... the one I divorced almost 7 years ago! I too have answered it on more than one occasion to only have the dead-air on the other side of the phone, I was amazed someone was there this time!

    Same with us, we are a church and they never talk when we pick up the phone. When we do not answer, there is a blank message from them. They call every day, and never answer or leave a message. Enough is enough.

    Our office has been receiving calls up to 6 times a day from this company!!! every time there is an actual person on the line & not dead air, we request to have our number removed from their list. this has been going on since the 1st week of November so, obviously asking to be removed DOES NOT WORK!! STOP CALLING!!

    These calls are driving me nuts! It rings & when you pick it up they hang up!  They can't sell anything to anyone because they never talk to you. I'm going to buy a LOUD whistle & start giving them an earful - this is harassment.

    Give me your name and I'll call you every day and hangup, especially when I know you are sleeping like I usually am when you call.

    I have and am currently worked at Graven Austin and Drake, It may not be the best job in the world but they give people who may have made a mistake a second chance to get there lives in order, as for the Harassing phone calls it is a computer generated call we do not control who we call when we call and how often we call it is not our fault actually its the company's we are calling for's fault so dont be so harsh to the employees we are just doing our job just like you are at your job trying to make a living to take care of our families.

    Stop Calling!!!
    We have recieved several phones calls from these people at our place of business. It is answered every time they call and someone (me) is here to get the call. I have asked every time they call to be taken off of their list, we are not interested. Computer or not, if you ask to be taken off of a call list you should respect the person's wish and take them off of the list. This has been done with this automated system as well as with the people that call. Yet every day, two to three times a day they call. Duhhh, now who are the lazy ones???

    LEARN TO SPEAK CORRECTLY! YOU'RE is the correct way to spell the contraction for YOU ARE!!! This might help you as you climb your way up the corporate ladder.

    I just found out they are calling my  82 year old mother twice a day for a week.No one on the other end.It really scares her.I will be contacting the Illinois Attorney Generals office.

    These scumbags called me from 719-219-3885 numerous times and then hung up, sometimes after only ONE ring.  What a way to run a business, rot in hell.
    I'll be reporting this and all of the numbers associated to the FCC and I encourage EVERYONE to do the same.

    I've worked there before, here's the inside deal. It's a regular job, kids and adults alike goof off a lot. Sometimes people mess up and think they've gotten an answering machine so they hang up, explaining the silence. Secondly, we only call people with existing subscriptions to things such as BHG, Ladies Home Journal, AQHA, so on and so forth. To anyone that is annoyed with getting calls but never answer, JUST ANSWER and POLITELY tell the rep to remove you from the call list. SIMPLE. Because if you don't answer, guess what? Your number goes right back into the number recycler on our dialer and you will be called until you answer. We are also not allowed to leave messages on answering machines. And if you do happen to speak to a rep, just be nice for chrissakes. We're people too, just trying to make a living. You don't need to scream or hang up or be rude. And YES, we are [***] to people who pick up the phone and yell "STOP CALLING DAMNIT" we will CALL YOU BACK because we think it's absolutely hilarious.... karma is a [***]. also, the national Do Not Call list does not apply when you wrote your damn number on the subscription card in the first place. Gives us the LEGAL right to call.

      I have NEVER subscribe to BHG, Ladies Home Journal, AQHA or any magazine in my life. I would politely tell whoever call to remove my phone number but no one ever answer. They were all empty calls. I have reported this latest call to the FCC and will continuously report to the FCC for every call i receive form GAD until they stop.

      I am sorry but they called on my cell phone which I have had over 15 years for a suscription I never heard of.  So they do not only call current people.  IT is a scam

      Considering that I do not have ANY subscriptions for ANY publications you are clearly misleading in your reason for calling me up to 4 times per day. I am always polite (on the rare occasions) when there is a real person at the other end...but no matter how many times i request to be removed from contact (and, yes...I am and have been on the DO NOT CALL register..for 4 yrs...and resubmit that request on that website yrly) it has gone on and on and on. I've even asked to speak to a supervisor....and was conveniently disconnected. Get a real job and stop this nonsense. I don't give out my phone number and I don't sign up for crap as I know lists are sold to people like you.

      As for your comment that this is all computer generated and you don't have any control over the calls....again, you clearly do....as you point out in your statement..."we will CALL YOU BACK because we think it's absolutely hilarious" . You wouldn't get the irate customers if you would respect them and remove there information as requested.

    To the person who claimed the incorrect usage of your vs you're. If you are referring to the statement above yours, they used it correctly and you did not. So much for smarts.
    To the person who said felons do not deserve jobs, you're and idiot. What are they supposed to do? Live off the government tit? Or should they just die? You don't feel people can change around their life? You have never made a mistake? I repeat, you are an idiot.
    For the record, I hate soliciting phone calls also.

    We've been getting calls from these people several times a week, sometimes more than once a day and I thought it was because we had used a website where we were required to provide our phone number.  I've instructed my grandkids not to pick up the phone unless I okay it.  I've picked up the phone once or twice in the beginning but no one was on the line...wondering just what their "agenda" is...I've worked with the public, attorneys, etc. long enough to be more than a bit cynical...
