Yesterday a phone # 1-855-763-0456 called and said they were from Premium Tech Support and wanted an ok to let them into my Internet system, I refused (they had me type in support.me and my computer screen said not to do this), I didn't.
Now this morn at aprox 8:30 I had a call from 267-354-8119 claiming they were from Premium Tech Support, I hung up and they called back and I told them to stop bothering me and I hung up again. How do they get your phone # and email address?  BEWARE!!!

Is Premium Techie Support same as Premium Technical Support, or are they scammers?  We were on phone for over 3 hours, they were very persistent that my pc was an old computer and needed many repairs, over 1,000$. Bank said it was probably a senior citizen scam.

they are TWO DIFFERENT COMPANIES !! PREMIUM TECHNICAL SUPPORT IS THE MAJOR RIP-OFF COMPANY,
PREMIUM TECHIE SUPPORT IS LEGITIMATE, although they try to upsell you but you're actually getting the product and techie support NEVER CALLS YOU WITH SOME KIND OF SCAM LIKE YOU'VE BEEN HACKED INTO ! i know as i do business with techie and was solicited by prem. technical support who identified themselves as techie using my e-mail and street address as "proof' !

They are big time scammers - running a number of scams - they have no end of lies and are adept at talking over you, not answering your questions and stealing your money

I fell for this too.  My question is do we have any way anymore to tell the good guys from the bad guys or do we just have to accept that the internet is unsafe?

Apparently ‘Premium Technical Supoort’ is still active and trying to take advantage of people.do not trust anyone from this company or that calls you from a number- (202) 798-3016 (in DC).  I caught them in outright lies and misleading about their names, their services, how they had information about my system being at risk. they hung up on me when I asked for more information and access to their management in DC.

here we go again same story, it seems no matter how many times you tell them no, you can tell them nicely or rudely and they think a person forgets the crap they pull on you 3 or 4 months ago when I had to close my acc"s
if the people who work there are so stupid to try to scam same person in that short period of time twice I mean if their memory is that short they shouldn't  work on computers ph#s 202-827-6097

Last Nov. 20, 2017, I had trouble connecting with my printer, which I later found to be my pc not finding a needed file. Otherwise, my computer was running well. I tried solving the problem by searching the web and found a web site offering free help, although I don't remember it as Premium techie support. However, it turned out they wanted a $50 fee and upon arguing with them a few minutes, a fellow interrupted, saying he would help. I forget exactly what he said but before I knew it, he showed me how my computer was seriously corrupted, pointing to one file that was the source of the trouble and which could not be deleted. My only option was to pay $499 to solve it. When I reluctantly agreed, he then said my present computer security wasn't sufficient and that I needed to install a McAfee program. I told him I already had McAfee but he said it didn't guard against certain malware files from the internet. I finally relented and agreed to pay the $150 for the program. The terms of the agreement and cost for the two purchases were spelled out and saved in a notepad file on my desktop together with the phone I could call for service. After several hours the computer was running okay again. That should have been end of story. However the next day, I must have hit a wrong key or something, and my computer was again corrupted the same as before, and I noticed the same trouble file that I had been told could not be deleted. The light dawned! What a sucker I had been! I then called several more knowledgeable people who explained how scammers could infect one's computer to make it appear bad when all was really well. I also called my network provider, cox.net, whose service dept. assured me the McAfee program they furnish had been using does indeed protect against malware from the internet. I had been lied to. When I tried calling to cancel my purchases, I was repeatedly referred to a technician who could offer no help. There's no doubt this is a scam as so many hundreds of reports assert. I suspect the company may be in India, based on the names of all I talked to and their poor understanding of English and their diction. I have asked my credit card company to refuse payment, but I'm unsure I'll succeed.

888-550-3849 in a pop up, turned computer off, 12 hours later restarted, same pop up

called the number, maybe not a good thing but i did; i politely asked how to remove he asked a question but i said look, i am not giving you any information but you need to tell me how to remove the pop up or I will report you to the attorney general of Florida, he hangs up I call back and all of a sudden it is nitbusiness hours, so I took a screenshot of the pop up and will pursue this with the federal trade commission as if that will do any good

does anyone know how i can get rid of the pop up?

Have received several calls from this number on both my cell and land line.  Both are listed  with do not call.  It's a recording from a man with a snakey voice saying they have noted bad things on my computer, etc.    What can i do to stop this invasion of privacy.  Don't we have that privilege in the usa?

I got a call from someone who claimed they worked for Yahoo and asked for remote address on my computer.I played along for 20 minutes and asked for a callback number-1-800-920-2270 and did a reverse lookup and ended up here.Guy had a Chinese accent so I had him spell everything out and repeat every word twice.

I contacted Yahoo and i'm waiting for a reply.Beware of scammers and NEVER allow anyone access to your computer whether it's a run file or cmd prompt.

I also got a call on 5/2/18 from someone who said they were from Premie Techie and tried to scam me out of $15,000.  I was shocked about this I will no longer do any business with any of these folks.  If my computer breaks down I will take it to Apple to have it fixed.  I will no longer to business with Premie Techie either.
